Mr. dr. W.B. van Leeuwen is molecular microbiologist working at the Department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam and lecturer Innovative molecular diagnostics, cluster Engineering at the University of Leiden. In February 2002 he obtained the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences at the Erasmus MC Rotterdam since 2002 and is registered as a Molecular Medical Microbiologist in the register of the Foundation for Education for Medical-Biological Scientific Researcher.
The founder of GiMaRIS, Dr. A. Gittenberger, has worked for e.g. the national natural history museums of The Netherlands (Naturalis), France (MNHN), and the USA (Smithsonian), for National Geographic magazine (USA), AtosOrigin, Expert Centre of Taxonomic Identification (ETI), The ANEMOON Foundation, the Netherlands Central Bureau of Statistics, and in the EU Networks MARBEF, BIOCOMBE, EDIT, Green Spider Network, WORMS, and FRONTIERS.
Erik Saelens is a consultant and interim manager with over 15 years’ experience in brand marketing and communications. He currently holds the position of strategy director at Brandhome. Erik specializes in rebranding and renaming operations, and has researched more than 250 brand-change operations worldwide. He is also an expert on brand management and M&A and IPO strategies, and draws on a strong operational background when putting these strategies into practice. Erik has a solid track record too as an interim manager, performing various roles for a range of international companies and brands.
